The institute boasts an elite and experienced tax faculty core, possessing diversified and complementary professional backgrounds.  The attorneys are among Illinois’ best in practice.  Further, the institute seeks out other professionals in related fields as instructors, who value the importance of effective communications to assist our students in understanding various tax and IRS related issues. Moreover, students have face-to-face access to faculty and the opportunity to have the most simple or complex questions answered and gain a wealth of knowledge on the subject matter.

James P. Greene, M.A., JD/LLM who is ITTI's founder and current president has an extensive background in tax law, both domestic and international. He is an experienced Tax Attorney with offices located in Chicago, Illinois, and regularly advises tax clients in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Greene is also a faculty member at The John Marshall Law School of Chicago. Among other notable academic, career, and professional distinctions, he was an Economics Fellow at the University of Chicago. Mr. Greene is the instructor for Modules One, Two, and Three. Marcy Purmal, JD is a graduate of Northwestern University and earned her Law Degree from Chicago Kent College of Law. She was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, and is a member of the U.S. District Court of the 7the Circuit North District (Trial Law). Ms. Purmal is the instructor for Module Three - Representation, Practice and Procedures: Ethics, Recordkeeping Procedures, Appeal Procedures, etc...
